The renovation of the first floor has just been completed at one of the most popular landmarks in the world. 250 tons of waste has been produced in the two and a half years of work and Veolia has recycled 83% of the waste.
To work on this extremely popular site and to meet the daily collection requirements, Veolia has had to put in place important safety measures. The company has had to collect the waste before transportation to sorting centers between 7 and 9 in the morning, before the opening to the public, using a 160m² platform with a 9 ton capacity to bring the rubble down.
Managing the sorting process as close as possible to the Eiffel Tower site has enabled the recycling of over 80% of the waste in Veolia’s centers, which have a capacity of 30 tons per hour.
